Why this series of teaching DVD’s?
With this series of DVD’s, Irena Tatiboit would like to propose her teaching methods of Contemporary Dance.
There are numerous styles of contemporary dance which are inspired by, yet intentionally take a different direction from classical codification. The exercises in this video take into account this diversity while providing the students with a complete and rigorous technical foundation.
We are going to explore the many styles of contemporary dance but always with precise descriptions and an original vocabulary, to achieve an “exactness” of movement. The student will achieve this, having well learned the basics, which is the objective of the class.
We are talking about the specific teaching methods of Irena Tatiboit, arrived at through thirty five years of experience, resulting in numerous performances, with noticeably her own students.
These teaching DVDs have therefore the goal of presenting the tools for “learning to learn”. They are directed at teachers and informed students and everyone who is passionate about contemporary dance; it’s a response to key questions about the technique, the training of student dancers, composition and creativity in improvisation.
